
A "sill" (low-lying dam) on the Pearl River at Poole's Bluff blocks fish
migration during times of low water. Unseasonably high river levels were
a challenge to project leaders while they worked to design a system that would allow fish to move past the sill to spawning grounds
farther upstream. |
